If you have ever observed people working out in gym while listening to music, you might have noticed that they do not take workout as doing something "imposed upon activity". They are actually enjoying what they are doing. Others would like to read books or watch TV while doing treadmill etc. Many runners are seen with their iPods while running. It enhances your mood and have a power to take you away from daily hassles and stress of your life. Listening to pleasant music relive your nerves and relaxes them. It reminds you of pleasant memories and acts as an escape from bitter realities of life. Music serves as a motivational force too. Similarly, listening to hard rock music will make you give one more rep or workout in high pace.
Brain, workout and music
Neurology explains that your brain is entangled to every sound it recognizes with your body muscles and internal bodily functions. The music you hear is directly linked to your hands and legs. In daily life, listening to your favorite music while doing your workout makes your head nod and fingers tap. In doing workouts, the music you hear during warm-up and cool session can affect your workout performance.
This reminds me of Les Mills Combat 30-Kick Start workout, it started with "Bring me to life" soundtrack, excellent as a warm-up session. This soundtrack starts in a very pleasant way and then it turns into a hard rock song.
Music endures your muscles
No doubt that music bust off boredom from any routine workout. It charges your body and mood and makes you push your body to its limits. At times, your body gets so fatigued that music proves futile to re-charge you but most of the time, it makes you give more than you could without music.

Recent changes in marathon rules do not allow you to carry your iPod during running. You can use in your daily training. Recent researches show the statistics of people listen to hip hop music at 27.7 %, rock music at 24% and pop music at 20.3%. Listening to music not only elevates your mood but it over-rides your feelings of exhaustion during workouts.
